Travel in luxury to one of the most desolate places on earth in a Pink Jeep Tours’ custom-built Tour Trekker. Your professional tour guide is your personal chauffer, escorting you from the Vegas Strip to the mysterious wonders of Death Valley National Park. Your tour guide will narrate Death Valley’s history, landscape and wildlife throughout your visit at Death Valley. So sit back and relax as your tour guide shares urban legends of the ghost towns and long-abandoned gold mines you pass by.
Before venturing out into the wild, make a quick stop at the Death Valley National Park Visitor Center. Collect maps for your journey, browse books for sale by the Death Valley Natural History Association and collect a Death Valley stamp for your national park passport.
Dip 282 feet below sea level at the Badwater Basin. Take your picture next to the sign designating this spot as the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere. This surreal landscape at Death Valley boasts vast salt pans shining white beneath the sun. Don’t stray from the creaking board platform—these salt pans are harmful to cross, especially during the hot summer months.
No putters needed at the Devil’s Golf Course. Travel down Badwater Road for views of this massive salt pan of jagged spires. The Devil’s Golf Course in Death Valley earned its name from its incredibly serrated terrain where “only the devil could play golf on such rough links.” Rain and wind continually erode this immense salt pan, its beauty shape-shifting with the weather.
Ready for the most breathtaking viewpoint at Death Valley? That’s Dante’s View, a mountaintop overlook towering more than 5000 feet above the inferno of Death Valley. Your cameras will come out to capture these dramatic panoramic views of salt rivers descending from the Panamint Range and the salt pans within the Furnace Creek area below. Keep turning for 360-degree views of mountain ranges including Owlshead Mountains to the south, Greenwater Range to the east, Funeral Mountains to the north, and Telescope Peak—the highest point at Death Valley—to the west. On cloudless days, you can clearly see Mount Whitney, the highest point in the United States, and Badwater Basin, the country’s lowest point.
